ParticipantGreat weekend for the Jays.
Leafs/marlies not so much…but its preseason so it doesnt matter at all.Onto the season.
Lets go.Fakepartofme
ParticipantMatthews has dropped to 12th in Fantasy rankings. Geez.
Leafs fell apart a bit last night, but its only preseason. I gotta reserve judgment until 20 games into the season
LETS GO JAYS!!!

ParticipantRadical Marxist transtifa gender theory has irreversibly damaged and sexually mutilated a lot more children than fee-fees.
This isnt a thing, you little coward.
But keep whiningFakepartofme
ParticipantFrees up about $6M (Kampf, Jarnkrok and Nickie) to trade/waive
Maybe one gets moved out.

ParticipantLooks like it will pretty much be the opening day line up tonight

ParticipantOh Marner would have cost a fortune to stick around for the $7.5 mill take home he gets in Nevada. In Ontario (and yes they are paid game by game so I’m keeping this very simple but it’s a truth) to get that he’d have to be making $16 mill. With advertising and only taking on 43 games in Ontario sure it would be closer to $15 but still, $13.5 in Toronto does not get him even close to what he now earns in Vegas.
Most importantly the leafs are a more well rounded team playing a more physical game. Yes Berube adjusted his coaching style last year because who the fuck wouldn’t when you have Marner in the lineup but both him and the GM weren’t going to continue that style unless Marner signed the deal that they drew the line on, and Marner didn’t.
Marner could have been a hero had he signed for reasonable amount (my gawd Kaprisov deal is horrible), quit whining and truly showed up in the playoffs.
But he did neither.
How good and physical the leafs will be remains to be seen…only the results in April will matter. But for 9 years it wasnt working with this core. Things had to change. They did.
Some need to move on, let it go. This isnt marner’s dads leafs anymore…..marner ran away.Question is, with how old and injury prone the leafs seem to be….can the full team survive the full season? Can matthews be the matthews of 3 years ago?
The 3rd line does look great though.Fakepartofme
ParticipantHow do the leafs dump Matthews to pull it off is the main question.
So McDavid is going to leave a team that went to the Cup Final twice, leave Draisaitl, live in a worse part of the country AND NOT play with Matthews.
That’d be hilarious.
Wow, you continue to be such a whiny little fascist coward. Complain, complain, complain. Do us all a favour, get out of your moms basement and move your incel self to the freedumb down south.
You live in one of the best countries (no matter what your facebook follows say) in the world and you whine about everything all the time. Libtards, taxes, ford, blaming the leafs for marner turning down $13.5m per, you have all the freedom in the world but somehow none in your delusional mind, no one will love you, trans people are so mean blah blah blah.
Get a new schtick. New season, new schtickFakepartofme
ParticipantIll put the over under on points this season at 99.5

ParticipantYup, and I actually got to catch the jays game while sitting at the bar of Fatty Patty’s here in London enjoying a couple pints because my gf was craving their beef dip and fries. So I got to watch that game there so long as I brought that home afterwards lol. Pints are so much nicer than cans, and that place has good food so having it within walking distance is very nice.
And seeing Europe get The Ryder Cup was sweet too.
I recently ate at “The Squire”? across from the arena when I was in London with the kids for the Korn concert. Downtown was looking rough….or so it seemed…maybe all the construction?

ParticipantWell, the Jays hung on and won the toughest division in baseball…not easy to do.
Congrats to them, it was a fun season.
But, they need to win a series and against the yanks it will be tough to do.Lets go.
