ParticipantWell Washington’s # 16 is gone to St.L for Kyrou. SJ got the # 9 from Ottawa for William Eklund. Canuck fans should get use to the fact that we are getting Reid at $ 3

Yes looking like SJ is taking Stenberg. That helps clear that up. Canucks you’re on the clock.

ParticipantI am in favour of any pick not suggested by Nighthawk or Freakshow
My lousy record speaks for itself…
Ehlers not Virtanen the beginning of the end
Trade down for McAvoy not Juolevi say no more
Boldy not Podkolzin was a wasted 10oa pick3oa Stenberg or Reid
24oa high floor potential top 6 F
33rd go for boom or bust or a faller..Bleyl?
41st Goljer if there or Ryder CaliFeeling pretty good trades garner more noce picks. Idk what or which draft.

ParticipantPretty high prices being paid in the trade market
The price for DeBrusk just went up!!
Agree but I wonder who he will waive for that will determine the return.

Which ones? Many of my earlier picks at 24 have moved up on pre-draft rankings.

ParticipantOttawa just traded their captain for 3 first round picks and a second. This could open the door for Debrusk for the 25 th? Canucks with the 24th and 25 th might look at the twins if they are still on the board.
Smells like another American captain quitting on their team. That aside will Debrusk waive for Ottawa?

ParticipantCame across this trade idea…..
Jets Get:

ParticipantI read Malhotra is getting paid in Canadian dollars vs US dollars so Aquilini can save money…LOL!! Why would he agree to that?
My guess is for the opportunity to break into a HC role in the NHL. Also maybe a show of loyalty & not all about money. If he does well bigger pay days are ahead. Confidence in his abilities & RJ etc.

ParticipantDeBrusk for Kent Johnson and the 43rd OA.
Git er done

NHL salary cap is $104m. In the 2024 season it was $83.5m.
A $6.80m AAV in 2024 has the same percentage of cap space as $8.5m does this season.
Raddysh’s AAV isn’t crazy. Term, like most contracts, is where risk comes in. Overall this looks like a solid deal. #NHL
30yrs old on a break out year on a better team. It certainly doesn’t look great.

ParticipantLatest rumor on Debrusk is to Columbus for the 14th oa. That’s a pipe dream but if the Canucks were to add, maybe there’s a way. Would Debrusk and the 33rd get it done? I think Debrusk and the 24rth oa would but that’s too much imo.
14oa for Debrusk seems like more to it is added then again the UFA is skinny & trade market seems tight. His contract isn’t bad to assume. CBJ is ready to take it to another level as well. As for 14oa imo it’s the range of at best middle 6 type F’s. Some good pickings are there but Debrusk is a known quantity for the now. I doubt CBJ cares much about prospects for the future they are looking good on the youth already & Werenski in his prime.
