ParticipantI hope you’re wrong. 27 year old winger with 1 goal in 26 games. Is that you just speculating? Or did you see that somewhere

ParticipantOTT has to forfeit their 1st this year bc of the Dadonov deal. They’d currently be selecting 8th depending on how the draft balls land. Imagine they win the lottery and have to forfeit that pick? They could’ve forfeited the 2024 or 2025 pick but decided to keep both, 7th overall in 2024 (makes sense) and 23rd overall in 2025 (pretty dumb to keep).

ParticipantI could care less where any of them go. Whoever sends the best package can have whoever they want.

ParticipantHopefully it’s for a 2nd. Gave up a 3rd but will be a low 3rd. Would suck to basically swap our 3rd for the Isles 3rd. Could be a different of 20+ picks.

ParticipantDolan is a bozo for allowing drury to run this rebuild. Seeing how the last 5 years have gone and the moves he’s made, there’s 0 faith in anyone other than Dolan and TJ that this will go well.
I’ll see how he handles this sell off, but my guess is he’ll prioritize “NHL ready players” and not picks and prospects.

ParticipantI’d also trade Fox but I know that’s very unpopular on here and in general.

ParticipantYou’re legit the last person I know that defends drury haha. It’s kinda comical at this point

ParticipantSullivan is also a major problem. Not known as a development coach, and he hasn’t won a playoff series in 8 years. He was another wrong choice by drury.

ParticipantThey had Fox and Shesty last year when they didn’t make the playoffs either ………

ParticipantI wouldn’t want to trade Panarin or Trocheck to Minn. their prospect pool and picks are GUTTED. Stramel is in his 4th year in college with so so numbers. He’d be a fringe 3rd liner at best. Hard pass on a trade with Minn.
DET is the team we need to try and make a trade with, they’re loaded.

ParticipantTJ, my issue with you saying “they needed to do this and Drury knew last year” if true, would show even further how dumb drury is. Imagine the pick last year was top 10 and Drury decided to keep it, and now we might be giving up a top 3 pick instead? We got “lucky” we only gave up the 12th OA pick.
Those aren’t the types of moves a smart GM makes given the state of the team last year and knowing his intention was to continue to tear it down. He loses on trades a lot more than he wins.

ParticipantI agree with keeping Laf unless it’s a deal like Laf for Wright. 2 guys with pedigree that need a change of scenery.
That’s why the Kakko trade infuriated me, scrub dman and nonsense pick. Would’ve been better off keeping him. Then the moron doubled down and signed him to that contract.
