On this one, you are like Dan Denkinger calling someone safe at first base. There is no defending this pathetic sympathy play by Marner. He signed with Vegas and wanted to move on. If you ask me, he’s doing a pretty bad job of moving on.

It seems like TSN set up the interview, no? With the T.O media being what it is, expect more click bait pieces this season when they play eachother, or if the leafs arent doing well or if Marner is doing well.

But just ignore them instead of playing into it.
He used to be a Leaf. Now he’s not a Leaf. Don’t care what he says

The only people whining more than Marner are the people whining about Marner whining. Get over it.

It’s long overdue, a Maple Leafs ticket revolt. I’m tired of subsidizing 2/3rds of the NHL with Revenue Sharing. Let the southern teams dry up, whither and die. They already get all of the tax benefits and we still send them money to keep them operational. There should be a 3 year moratorium on Revenue Sharing. If you can’t make it, in 3 years, you’re franchise is relocated or folded. Enough of this sh!t!

Except Leafs ticket prices would be completely unaffected if they eliminated revenue sharing.

Ticket prices are not tied to costs – it’s simply supply and demand.

I hate that the price I pay for tickets partially funds weaker clubs, but if revenue sharing was eliminated, MLSE wouldn’t lower ticket prices – they would simply make more profit.

Having said that, I would like to see the NHL adopt a soft cap like MLB – I strongly believe that baseball benefits financially by having big market teams have a slight advantage.

You either love the Yankees or you hate the Yankees, but either way, you are paying attention to them.

I’d love it all if Leafs could use their financial muscle to spend more than other teams but hard cap isn’t going anywhere.

Fans are happy: ticket sales are up across the league and Leafs continue to sell out.
Players are happy: rising cap is pushing up salaries.
Teams are happy: Revenues are up, franchise values are up and they gave up a year in a lockout to get cost certainty. There’s no way they give it up.

Franchise values increased by almost 50% last year and the Leafs are now worth more than $4B. Owners are happy and nobody is interested in making any changes.

No chance. It will only help to rid the building of the serfs and peasants that are noisy and disruptive like that Kurtis from Alberta.

I agree Wedgie, it will help keep the Convoy Clown types out of the building.
AppleTV game…..pa fangulo! Rogers just put up their rates for streaming their service and yet a 3rd party gets games going down the stretch during a pennant race.

Deal with Apple was negotiated by MLB, not Rogers

The Beibs getting the start Friday. Would be huge if he can be a legit starter the rest of the way. Max is starting to heat up also.
SP has been a weak spot.

Lauer out of the Pen for now.

Working with six starters allows guys with lots of innings pitched to get a bit of rest. Also becomes a bit of an audition to see how playoff roster gets sorted out.
