Dan Maloneys left hook
ParticipantHard to believe that they still have seven 1st round picks not yet playing with the big club, and two more this coming draft. There will not be room for all of them, however not at that bridge yet.
KK
Allan
Boisvert
Vanacker
Frondell
Nestrasil
WestWhatever we do it can’t be worse than trading Phil Esposito and Ken Hodge and letting Bobby Hull walk because Wirtz backed out of a $250k promise.

WestHadn’t realized this, Lou. It’s crazy. Generally, you’re lucky as a fan to have 1 or 2 real prospects coming up making an NHL roster. Hawks have 3-4 blue chippers seemingly coming each yr. The names you posted all have size too except for KK and he ain’t small … Wonder what went thru KD and Crews head as the watched their creation, led by kids, skate STL outa the arena?
The complete tear down, accumulation of loads of 1st and 2nd round picks, drafting BPA (which happened to be from the back end out early), everybody in the organIzation being on board with iron clad patience and refusal to take short cuts as their picks develop is starting to bear fruit…….. And it’s damn fun as a fan right now.

Don’t worry, be happy, rpete… The Dark Ages are gone (for now) and the current kids are skating playoff teams outa the joint. … If VAN has any sluggishness from playing Dallas last night then getting on a plane flying 1,000 miles the thoroughbreds just may put the needle on the record and git jiggy wit it for 3 periods again.

ParticipantFor those interested I think Chelios is doing color with Wiedeman on the radio side. …. If you can pull yourself away from Panger. Dude is so so bad.

ParticipantI am loving the game now late in the third, and although I haven’t missed any games, I kept thinking something was off.
I finally realized that I hate the 100th Anniversary sweaters, because the added a black then gold highlight around the numbers on the player’s back.
I never thought any hawk sweater would dwarf then choir boy collars ones.
You don’t suddenly add a color from the Indianhead to JUST the numbers on the backs!
Hate it as I noticed it sweaters looked odd…

ParticipantOne nice thing to see from this young team is getting points inspite of the refs on the ice.
I felt they were a bit slower in the 2nd and 3rd period i wonder if Blashill will dial back the practices a little. I hear they are working them hard.

Totally blown call. Lankinan is in the seated splits facing the half boards. He can only spin to his right or left while seated or snow angel while Bertuzzi is whacking at the puck. He chooses to rotate towards Bertuzzi allowing Bert to whack at the exposed puck. Ref must think Bertuzzi’s stick caused Lankinen’s rotation. Only way Bertuzzi could do that is if he whacked with a sledgehammer. Another tell-tale sign was after the puck went in Lankinen was trying to fish the puck out of the corner of the net. Goalies will be the first to tell you they were interfered with.

ParticipantKaiser is playing great he was all over the ice last night, Korchinski, Del Mastro, and Allan have their work cut out for them which is a good problem to have.
The slotting for our defenseman is really nice and i think we layer well against opponents so long as a forward covers the slot.

ParticipantAnyone else see Middleton light up Dutch center ice and then absolutely pummel the living shit out of Petrovic (who stuck up for Dutch)? I believe that Petrovic landed 1 right and Middleton scored 3 rights, 2 uppercuts, 4 vicious rabbit punches, and finished him with a spinebuster.
