ParticipantAccording to the reliable “some guy on X”, LA and the Ducks also interested. Seems like the only way any value would be coming back.

ParticipantI can’t see the Leafs getting both Roy and Hague, but that would be about the best scenario you could hope for.

Way more likely it’s one or the other, not both but more likely Roy because they have to clear his cap space, among others, to sign Marner.
Marner is going to look great holding that Cup over his head in Vegas.

There is no chance he’s going to the hellscape that is California when the benefits of living and playing in Vegas are far better.

There is talk amongst league executives that Leafs have asked for Nicolas Roy and Nicolas Hague in return. It will be interesting to see if this happens.Would be a good bit of business if they get anything more than a 3rd rounder for his rights. Could we get Vegas to take Reaves or Kampf back too ….please?

Just wanted to thank you for the mirth you have provided the past few days.
A guy who lives on Nobleton thinking that multi-millionaires can’t enjoy life in Vancouver or California has me laughing hysterically.
Keep watching Fox News, and keep allowing your failures in life to fuel your ridiculous posts.

So then Leafs go with
Knies, Matthews, P. Kane
Marchand, Tavares, Nylander
Domi, Roy, B. Tanev
Jeannot, Laughton, LorentzMcCabe, Tanev
Hague, Carlo
Benoit, OELBOOM! Thank you and fuck you Marner.
Forget marchand. What a waste of money he would be on the leafs.
Hes effective as a 3rd liner on a mi e with other good third liners. On the leafs, he’d play second line against tougher comp and wouldnt be as effective.
Use the $8-9m on something else.June 28, 2025 at 4:35 pm #13206Fakepartofme

Use the $8-9m on something else.I would live Marchand on a Tavares type deal but I do not want him at $8 mil

He was super motivated playing for Florida and it is not a fact he will have the same compete level
next season, regardless of who is going to play with.
He will cost big dollars to some team, hopefully not to Leafs.June 28, 2025 at 5:32 pm #13258WHIPPER

He’s WAY more likely to get run out of Vegas than he is to raise a cup there. Better make sure his NMC is rock solid.

Still don’t believe Vegas is going to pay him the money he wants.
They are heavy team and I doubt they are interested in very skilled, but soft player.
I think SJ is more realistic place for Mitch.-

He took a discount to stay with the bruins and now that he has this cup, why should he take another discount somewhere else? I’m sure someone will pay him $8 million but not the leafs (I hope). I do think if he wants to stay in Florida he takes a discount though.
