Lol what a pathetic thing to think is a snappy comeback, ya you really nailed me.

    JFC are you ever pathetic.

A “snappy comeback” is lost on you. It’s unnecessary. You are what you are: a sheep.

He left on his own accord. No one ran him out of town. Stop telling false hood

Wrong. Team refused to pay him what he’s worth, media (that owns the team) ran with a bullshit narrative and the fans ran him out of town.

The only falsehood here is the idea that this team is or will be better without him.

between you and me, that is nonsense and falsehoods as it was already reported that he turned down ALL Leafs offers and good one too.
we shall see if the team is better or not this upcoming season.
should give them a chance before writing them off before the puck has even dropped on the new season.
who knows, maybe there is a major trade in the works that we don’t know about or contract(s) being bought out.

OK AA. I’ve been around the old site since the early days. I’ve dealt with the real Unholy Goalie and you aren’t him. The real UG had a hate on for Leafs management, forever. He always snapped at others who disagreed. I’ve actually had civil conversations with him via PM. All you are is a changeling looking to cause dissention on this new site. Pretty much everyone gets along here, except you. I know your handy-work from the Buzz. So lets talk Marner.

I’ve seen him play in London and he was a terrific player. His skating is amazing and so is his hands. All well and good, when playing in the regular season, when you might see a team and play 2, 3 or 4 times in an 82 game schedule. Teams don’t go out of their way in the regular season to diminish opposing player’s talent on the ice. However, once the playoffs start, tactics change. Small players are at a disadvantage. The jungle becomes thicker and it’s hard to penetrate the slot area with consistency. Marner disappears, every year, when the tough get going. I only have to refer to his lazy backcheck on Pasternak, in Overtime in game 7. He didn’t skate hard enough and gave up on the play. That was his man and he let him go on the outside. Leafs lost a series because of him, but I’ve never seen you mention that in your idolization of Mitch Marner. He shrinks when the going gets tough. When you look at him, he was supposed to be one of the top 3 players on the Leafs. He could never elevate his game, when the team needed him most. Hence his record in elimination games. And before you start droning about Matthews, at least he wins faceoffs and works in the corners to dig out pucks. It was Mitch’s job to get him the puck in tight area’s and he failed miserably. Can Matthews play better? We’ll find out next year, once he’s healthy and has proper line-mates during the playoffs. Mitch deserves every criticism that he gets, since he twice decided to become a mercenary and went for top dollar, when he’s only a winger, not a center, and finally had his first 100 point season in 9 years. I wouldn’t call that Hall of Fame numbers up until now. The floor is yours, so flame on.

People who call out your bullshit aren’t sheep, they are just tired of you but rage on little man, rage on.

You should consider seeking professional help, it’s painfully clear you would greatly benefit from it.

There is a lot of talk about the trade market “heating up” due to the weaker UFA class – but I am still not sure what our assets really are nor what their value is.

Like Cowan has higher value and I think Hildeby and Akhtyamov have more value than most Leaf fans would expect – but I think Danford, Koblar and Hopkins probably have less value than we’d expect because they’re projects. The only other prospect who was drafted in the top 3 rounds that we have in the system is Moldenhauer, and I think his value is all but gone.

    From that pretty shallow pool you have a 2026 3rd, 5th and San Jose’s 6th. A 2027 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and Philly’s 6th. All picks in 2028.

I read that the Leafs would be in on McCann but I don’t know with what asset capital in order to be competitive.

Like – none of us know Thrun from a hole in the wall, I don’t think – but he has represented the US in the U17, U18, U20 (WJC) and the World Championship. He’s 6’2 / 190, so maybe a little sleight of build, but at 24 he’s better than just getting a contract dump which is what I would have expected.

He’ll be a Marlie but won’t cost the $200K that sits on Leaf’s cap when they sent Reaves down

Slick move getting Reaves off the book completely
