ParticipantTicket prices are insane, I think I may just use the $ I usually use to hit some Leafs games and go to some jays playoff games or maybe go see the Leafs on the road.
Also to those who can’t help themselves and have to make sure they insert some political narrative into their reply to show everyone how smart they are kindly take that bullshit somewhere else. This comment is directed at both the people who think they need to comment about the right and the left by the way, I have zero interest in reading any of it on a hockey site.
Sigh.
I demonstrated a dozen times last year that ticket prices are not what people think – the premium markups for games on the secondary market died during COVID.
Any game Monday to Wednesday, as long as it isn’t the Habs, you can purchase tix for below what the season ticket holder bought them for. Just wait until 5:30 pm.
Upper bowls for $100 or less. Lower for $250 or less.
Much cheaper than gas/airfare and hotel at any away game.

ParticipantOh the delicious irony – deaf retard who lives in a shack in hillbilly Ontario:
– steals peoples hockey forum user names
– has 7 alts
– challenges people to fights on the internet
– rubs his mangina to posters of bitchy mitchyThis puffy little bitch telling others to be a man and calling them snowflakes? What a planet eh!
…Still maybe not worse than some fat little incel dweeb talking shit about a game he doesn’t understand. With his CTE, also causing his IQ to drop below 23. I mean if he even at least could be a burner and play JrC level hockey – he may have a fighting chance on here.
Geeks are awesome for laughs though for sure!

ParticipantIt’s long overdue, a Maple Leafs ticket revolt. I’m tired of subsidizing 2/3rds of the NHL with Revenue Sharing. Let the southern teams dry up, whither and die. They already get all of the tax benefits and we still send them money to keep them operational. There should be a 3 year moratorium on Revenue Sharing. If you can’t make it, in 3 years, you’re franchise is relocated or folded. Enough of this sh!t!
Except Leafs ticket prices would be completely unaffected if they eliminated revenue sharing.
Ticket prices are not tied to costs – it’s simply supply and demand.
I hate that the price I pay for tickets partially funds weaker clubs, but if revenue sharing was eliminated, MLSE wouldn’t lower ticket prices – they would simply make more profit.
Having said that, I would like to see the NHL adopt a soft cap like MLB – I strongly believe that baseball benefits financially by having big market teams have a slight advantage.
You either love the Yankees or you hate the Yankees, but either way, you are paying attention to them.
I’d love it all if Leafs could use their financial muscle to spend more than other teams but hard cap isn’t going anywhere.
Fans are happy: ticket sales are up across the league and Leafs continue to sell out.
Players are happy: rising cap is pushing up salaries.
Teams are happy: Revenues are up, franchise values are up and they gave up a year in a lockout to get cost certainty. There’s no way they give it up.-

We all love you for it Wedgie but what you demonstrated is the secondary market value on game day and not the actual ticket prices that MLSE sells the seats for – those bastards NEVER drop their prices even on game day. It’s great if you live or work in Toronto and can just grab tickets an hour or 2 before the game and if the prices don’t drop to what you want to spend just stick around at the Keg and continue to fill up (see I remembner what you wrote you clever MF! lol) but sadly not everyone can.
The issue for many is they need to plan to attend a Leaf game well enough in advance for kiddos or just travel because the have a long ass drive or train ride home post game etc. so they need to get tickets and plan the game day/next day to fit.
I’ve never flown anywhere to go to a game but I’ve driven to quite a few places to see a Leaf road game and it’s a nice bonus to get to visit a new city. I’ve been to (in no particular order) Montreal (Forum and Bell Centre), Ottawa, Dallas, Pittsburgh (Igloo and PGP Centre), Buffalo and Nashville to see the Leafs and hope to add more places over the years. I’ve seen a game in Detroit (at the Joe) and Winnipeg just not the Leafs.
I mean Toronto was one of the most expensive places to see a game already so I guess it is what it is but can you imagine a world where you didn’t have to sit and take advantage of the happy hour specials at the KEG to see if you can get tickets for what you want to pay? lol

Are you that desperate for attention that you need to try to bait me into a back and forth with you?
Jesus AA you really are a sad little man.I also assume you fail to see the irony in telling me to scroll on by ‘like a man’ when you can’t even do so yourself and feel the need to then tell me to go dye my hair purple like a snowflake?
Every time I think you can’t get any dumber you prove me wrong, congrats on that.

ParticipantWedgie, re: tickets
While this may be true, part of the issue is that there are so many on-line ticket re-sellers I have no idea which ones are legit or not.
Plus, if I wait until that time, I won’t make it to the game on time. Not everyone is a few subway stops away 🙂Are scalpers around the arena even a thing? If they are, that is a whole nother problem. I have zero desire to interact with them.

Unless you know the person you are buying from (say a friend or a friend has vouched for the person) I think the only online re-seller route to be completely safe is to use Ticketmaster. Unfortunately they take a bite from the resale so sellers have to mark up a bit if they want to lose less but at least your protected and can buy with no worries.
Edit – HOLY BIG EMOJI IN THE REPLY WITH QUOTE! lol

Scalpers are very few and far between these days.
Every single price I quoted last year was straight from the Ticketmaster site – so even with their pirate fees, it’s still cheaper on Monday to Wednesday than if you bought them straight from MLSE.
I realize that you have to take a bit of a leap of faith, but as I demonstrated numerous times here, Wedgie is never wrong on anything, including cheap tickets Monday to Wednesday. And if worst comes to worst, you can always still watch the game at a sports bar downtown, which is still a better experience (albeit more expensive) than watching it alone at home.
See you at the Keg York Street, Aethsie.

Done!
I wish Marner didn’t go to Vegas. Son is a Vegas fan and that is the one game we go to every year. This year, the prices will probably be crazy!

ParticipantConnor McDavid is in no hurry to sign an extension with the Oilers, and he’s comfortable entering the season without a new deal.
